Meet Dr. Trajtenberg

Cynthia Trajtenberg, D.D.S., M.S.

Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist

Dr. Cynthia Trajtenberg specializes in the treatment of gum disease, jaw bone regeneration, gum plastic surgery and periodontal medicine. In addition, Dr Trajtenberg is highly trained and an experienced implant surgeon with an emphasis in minimally invasive dental implants.

Dr. Trajtenberg received her dental degree from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. She then earned a Master of Science in Oral Biomaterials at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Dr. Trajtenberg completed a three-year residency specialty program in Periodontics and Dental Implantology at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio where she received a certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science.

Dr. Trajtenberg was a former Associate Professor in Restorative Dentistry and currently is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science School of Dentistry in Houston.

Dr. Trajtenberg has authored textbook chapters, scientific original research abstracts, and scientific articles in peer reviewed dental journals. She has lectured at national and international professional meetings about her research and has given continuing education courses in clinical dentistry.

Dr Trajtenberg has received a number of honors in recognition of her work, including

finalist award for basic science research in periodontics by the American Academy of  Periodontology and faculty for The President’s Award for mentoring women by The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry.

Dr. Trajtenberg is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, Greater Houston Society of Periodontists (GHSP), Southwest Society of Periodontists , American Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. “ T” as patients and colleagues name her enjoys spending time with her husband, her three children and her maltese dog.
