Before and After Results

Why Choose a Prosthodontist?

Prosthodontics (also known as dental prosthetics or prosthetic dentistry) is one of the nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA). Prosthodontists specialize in the diagnosis, restoration, and replacement of missing teeth.

Extensive training and experience give prosthodontists a unique understanding of restoring the dynamics of a smile and healthy mouth with the creation of tooth prostheses. Becoming a prosthodontist requires an additional three years of specialty training after obtaining a DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) or DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree.

Locator Fixed Dental Solution

The patient presented with four implants in the mandibular arch. A Locator Fixed solution was selected to provide a stable, fixed prosthesis with minimal flange coverage, improving comfort and function. This design allows excellent access for hygiene, helping reduce the risk of continued bone loss and soft tissue recession—especially important in cases with limited keratinized tissue. This approach offers a predictable and minimally invasive option to restore function in otherwise compromised cases.

Why Locator-Retained Fixed?

  • More cost-effective than traditional hybrid prostheses
  • Easy to clean and maintain
  • Flexible for future implant additions without remaking the prosthesis

This approach delivers a stable, esthetic, and patient-friendly solution that restores not just teeth—but quality of life.

Locator-Retained Fixed Implant Prosthesis

This patient presented with a failing dentition requiring full-mouth extractions. A comprehensive digital plan was created for a locator-retained fixed implant prosthesis, balancing function, esthetics, and long-term maintenance.

  • Implants Placed: 6 maxillary and 4 mandibular implants
  • Digital Planning: Guided surgery for precise implant positioning
  • Customized Design: Final prostheses were crafted to harmonize with the patient’s facial anatomy for a natural, confident smile.
  • Fixed, Yet Maintainable: The prostheses remain in place 24/7—only removed by a dental professional for maintenance.

Smile Transformation

76 years old female patient concerned about the mobility of her existing long spam bilateral bridges. Bilateral sinus lift, anterior ridge augmentation, soft tissue grafting, and implant placement accomplished. The case was planned in stages with the intention of creating adequate bone support and to minimize the use of a conventional denture during the process. The complete treatment took approximately 12 months. The case was managed in a multidisciplinary fashion with the support of a periodontist and anesthesiologist to assure extraordinary results. The patient was highly satisfied, the treatment not only enhanced her smile but also boosted her confidence significantly.

Porcelain Onlay

  • Best for moderate tooth decay or damage where a filling would be insufficient, but a crown is unnecessary.
  • Onlay preserves more of the natural tooth, the final look may be more natural, especially when only part of the tooth is damaged.
  • Because it only replaces the damaged or decayed part of the tooth, it involves less drilling and is generally less invasive.
